Enjoying the Moments found in Today

Posted by Nikki Barr on

So here we are... after five months at home, both boys are back in school for the first time after a really long "Spring Break."

It feels a bit like like the wilderness & undiscovered territory ... not sure what’s coming next.

Switch over to Homeschooling for one or both?
Dual enrollment?
Staying in school as they are now?
Who knows?
There really is no rush to decide.
And that’s perfectly OK.

Over these past five months, God has been ref
ining our family to learn to live for today and let tomorrow take care of itself.

To rest in the waiting. To trust His timing. To let go of some of the things that we had been holding on to that weren’t in line with His plan for us.

Our schooling may look completely different next week. I may end up with a home-schooler or two, if they choose.

But the truth is, that God has it all, and each day can look different than the one before it.

We are reminded daily that the point is to live each day with His purpose in mind, to love others well, be His light, and enjoy the moments, focusing forward on His unique design for each of us.

Letting go of expectations & control is actually pretty freeing.

Freedom in Christ.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. - Matthew 6:34
